Videography and lens technology

The glasses are capable of recording 2K (1440p) resolution videos at 30fps. Their main power lies in the 12MP Sony IMX681 camera, which not only allows you to take photos and videos in first-person view, but also allows you to live stream. Weighing just 40 grams, the glasses can be fitted with lenses that match your eyesight, or with electrochromic lenses that change color depending on the light.

Acoustics and performance

The phone has a special focus on audio, with five microphones that reduce wind noise, allowing for crystal clear sound capture. It also has two speakers for listening to music and watching movies. Inside, it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chipset and runs Xiaomi’s own Vela OS.

Battery and charging system

The AI glasses are powered by a 263mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can last for 8 hours and 36 minutes on a single charge. This is twice as long as the competitor Ray-Ban Meta. Unlike other glasses, the glasses don’t require a separate charging case, as they have a built-in USB-C port, so you can charge them directly with your favorite charger.

Price

The Xiaomi AI Glasses will be available in three colors: black, brown, and green. The price in China is set at 1,999 yuan (about $278). Xiaomi has not yet announced whether the AI glasses will be released in markets outside of China.
