Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro launched with its own chipset
Xiaomi has officially launched its new tablet, the Pad 7S Pro 12.5, which is the first tablet to use the company’s own Xring O1 chipset. The new tablet, which went on sale in China today, features a larger screen, a thinner body, and significantly faster charging than the previous model.
The Xring O1 chipset, which was first introduced in the Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone last month, is now being used in the Pad 7S Pro, which is described as a high-performance tablet. It shows that Xiaomi is trying to develop its own hardware.
Design and interface
The Pad 7S Pro features a 12.5-inch display, which Xiaomi says offers the best balance between the portability of an 11-inch tablet and the expansive viewing experience of a 14-inch tablet. The display retains the same 144Hz refresh rate as the previous generation, with a 3:2 aspect ratio that’s more suitable for business use.
Despite the larger display, the tablet is only 5.8mm thick, which is thinner than the 6.2mm of the Pad 7 Pro. The weight has increased to 576g (up from 500g), which is due to the larger display and battery. There are 6 speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, which will make your media experience even more immersive.
Performance, battery and charging system
The main power of the Pad 7S Pro is its large 10,610mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the 8,850mAh in the Pad 7 Pro. Along with the increased battery capacity, it also supports 120W fast charging, which is almost double the 67W of the previous model.
Performance
The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro is designed to be a “computer companion” and a laptop replacement. It also comes with a magnetically attached and adjustable hinge keyboard (optional). The tablet also supports professional software such as the new version of WPS Office, ZWCAD, and CAJViewer.
It also features advanced connectivity that allows screen mirroring to both Windows and Mac computers with a low latency of just 41ms. You can share a keyboard and mouse with the connected computer and easily transfer files.
Price
The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5 is available for purchase in China starting today. The company has not yet announced plans for a global release.
Prices by model are as follows:
The optional keyboard will be sold for 1,000 yuan (~$138), while a Soft Light screen protector that reduces glare can be purchased for 200 yuan (~$28).
