TikTok introduces new ways for users to discover new content and video creators

New tools to find your favorite content
The For You feed helps users find content and creators that are relevant to them. We’re expanding our search experience to include a new control feature called “Manage Topics.” With “Manage Topics,” you can choose from over 10 popular topics, including creative arts, travel, nature, and sports, and customize the content recommended in the feed.
These settings will not completely remove any content, but over time they can influence the frequency of relevant content suggestions based on the user’s interests.
Introducing Smart Keyword Filtering
To help users customize their content video feeds, we provide Keyword Filters that limit content containing the words they want to search for, and they are used to filter over 200 million words from feeds around the world.
TikTok is now rolling out “Smart Keyword Filters,” a new setting that uses AI to further limit content that contains similar keywords. It will show you which additional keywords are being filtered out, and you can then select or remove specific keywords from those additional keywords.
We expect Smart Keyword Filtering to become more accurate as more people use it, and in the coming months we will be increasing the number of keywords that can be filtered to 200, and we are also working on adding keywords in bulk to make it faster and more accurate when formatting feeds.
